Please welcome our new pastor, Jordan Rimmer.  He began his ministry at Northminster in January 2018.  He is a graduate of Grove City College with a degree in Sociology and he received a Masters of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. In 2017, Jordan completed his Doctor of Ministry through Portland Seminary of George Fox University. He is an ordained teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA).  Before moving to the Pittsburgh area, Jordan was the director of outreach and youth ministries at Glenwood United Methodist Church in Erie, PA.

Prior to going into ministry, Jordan was the Director of the Leadership and Education Institute.  This company focused on leadership development, team building, and character development. They worked with other companies, athletic teams, teachers, school kids, and at-risk youth.  They used experiential methods including a ropes course and Alpine Tower, a rock wall, portable activities, school field trips, and even gourmet cooking.  Jordan continues to do consulting, staff training, and writing in the area of experiential education.

In addition, Jordan speaks at various workshops and training events on a wide range of church-related topics such as leadership, stewardship, resilience, Christian facilitation, and turn-around churches.  He has also done consulting work and leads retreats with his father, Jim Rimmer (also a pastor), who runs Help to Grow Church Consulting.

In 2004, Jordan married his wife Mandy.  They have four beautiful children - Jayden, Morgan, Colvin, and Eden.  Family is a very high priority for Jordan and Mandy and they spend quality time enjoying movies, games, playgrounds, and road trips.
